Description
This collection of opaque black pressed glass tableware is attributed to Tiara Exclusives in the Monarch pattern, manufactured by Indiana Glass circa 1970-1980. The assortment includes a large bowl with a scalloped rim, a covered butter dish with a faceted finial, a creamer, an open sugar bowl, and several low candle holders. Each piece features an intricate, all-over geometric pattern consisting of stars, hobstars, and diamonds in the style of Early American Pattern Glass. The material is black amethyst glass, which appears opaque black under standard lighting. No maker marks or signatures are discernible on the bases, which is characteristic of this production line. The underside of the items features molded geometric star motifs.
