Description
This pair of Sears Discoverer zoom binoculars features a variable magnification range from 7x to 15x with 35mm objective lenses. The instrument is constructed with a black-finished metal body and a textured pebble-grain synthetic covering. The left eyepiece plate is inscribed with the Sears logo and Model No. 583.25200, Wide Angle at 15x, and Fully Coated Optics. The right eyepiece plate is marked Discoverer Zoom 7-15x35mm and 227 ft. / 1,000 yds. at 15X. The central focusing mechanism is labeled Quick Focus. A lever-actuated zoom on the right eyepiece is marked with a scale of 15, 13, 11, 9, and 7, with a Pat. Pending mark near the lever. The left eyepiece is equipped with a diopter adjustment. A small oval sticker marked PASSED is located on the central hinge. The binoculars include a black nylon neck strap, two Sears branded objective lens caps, and a Sears branded double-eyepiece rain guard. The set is accompanied by its original black textured hard-sided carrying case with a front snap closure. Case: 8 inches x 6 inches.
