Description
This square lidded glass box is attributed to Tiara Glass, produced by the Indiana Glass Company in the Honey Bee pattern. The piece is constructed of colorless pressed glass with an overall frosted satin finish. The lid features a central ball-shaped finial surrounded by a radial molded relief pattern of honeybees, enclosed by a border of alternating diamond-textured and scrolled panels. Each side of the base depicts a central beehive skep flanked by bees and floral motifs. The box sits on four small integral feet. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the body or base. Base: 5 inches square Height: 4.5 inches. The item appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
