Description
This square, footed clear pressed glass lidded box is in the Beehive and Honeybee pattern, attributed to Indiana Glass for Tiara. The piece is constructed of heavy pressed glass with high-relief molded decoration. The domed lid features multiple depictions of beehive skeps and bumblebees among floral sprigs, topped with a faceted knob finial. A textured diamond-pattern border runs along the edge of the lid and the upper portion of the base. The base is decorated with corresponding beehive and bee motifs and rests on four integral bracket feet. The underside of the base displays a molded pattern of bees surrounding a central floral element. No manufacturer marks or signatures are present.
5 inches square by 5.5 inches high.
The item appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or structural repairs. Minor surface shelf wear is present on the underside of the feet.
