Description
This two-piece covered serving dish is crafted from mold-pressed glass with an iridescent teal surface treatment, characteristic of carnival glass. The item is identified as the Princess pattern, attributed to the Indiana Glass Company. The domed lid features a central six-petaled flower surrounded by scrolling acanthus-style leaves and small stars, all set against a stippled background. The lid is topped with a tiered finial. The matching base repeats the floral and scroll motif on the underside and is finished with a scalloped rim. The piece lacks a pontil mark, consistent with its mold-pressed construction.
