Description
This large circular ashtray is attributed to Indiana Glass and features a pressed intaglio design of an American bald eagle. The central motif depicts an eagle with outstretched wings, a striped shield, and a series of stars, modeled after the Great Seal of the United States. The piece is constructed from black amethyst glass, a material that appears opaque black under normal lighting conditions but reveals a deep purple translucency when held to a direct light source. The exterior rim is finished with a heavy bark-like texture and includes four integrated wide cigarette rests. No manufacturer marks or signatures are present on the item.
