Description
This seven piece set of amber pressed glass children’s dishes was manufactured by the Indiana Glass Company for Tiara Exclusives. The collection features various embossed nursery rhyme motifs across the different forms. The large divided plate includes scenes of children on a seesaw and with pails, with text reading Where Are You Going My Pretty Maid and See-Saw Margery Daw. The cereal bowl features a scalloped rim embossed with names of rhymes including Three Blind Mice, Little Bo-Peep, Little Boy Blue, and Miss Muffet, with a central image of Mother Goose riding a goose. The three small plates depict a dog at a table surrounded by a border of running animals. The mug is embossed with the character Humpty Dumpty, and the tumbler features Jack and Jill. Several pieces retain original gold foil stickers reading a Tiara EXCLUSIVE. The base of the bowl is embossed with Tiara by Indiana and MOTHER GOOSE. One original cardboard box with the Tiara logo is included. Original manufacturer stickers are present on several pieces. The included original box shows age-related shelf wear and handwritten notations.
