Description
This pair of contemporary cast metal sculptures depicts rodents in expressive, upright poses. The figures are rendered in a gestural, heavily modeled style with a dark brown to black matte patina. One sculpture features two figures, a larger and a smaller rodent, while the second sculpture features a single larger figure. Both pieces are set on integral, rectangular, textured bases. No clearly legible characters, symbols, foundry marks, or signatures are present on the bases or bodies of the sculptures. The casting method appears to be consistent with sand casting or a similar process, resulting in a textured surface. 3 x 5 inches The sculptures are in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the casting.
