Description
A marigold carnival glass bowl in the Peacock and Grape pattern. This mold-pressed glass piece features a ruffled rim with a sawtooth edge and a metallic iridescent finish over a clear or light amber base. The interior is decorated with alternating panels depicting a peacock with a fanned tail and a cluster of grapes with foliage. The center of the well contains a molded geometric starburst. The exterior body is finished with a repeating leaf and vine motif. The bowl is supported by a low collar base with a molded web and starburst design. No maker marks or alphanumeric characters are present. Diameter: 8 inches Height: 2 1/2 inches The bowl is in good condition with vibrant iridescence. An internal stress line or hairline fracture is present within the collar base. The body and rim are free of significant chips, cracks, or repairs.
