Description
This lot features two pieces of iridescent pressed carnival glass. The first item is a green glass footed bowl featuring an embossed leaf design on the exterior, consistent with the Holly pattern. The bowl is supported by three scrolled twig feet and features a wide scalloped rim with a stippled beaded line design on the interior. The second item is a marigold iridescent dish shaped as a stylized flower with a single integral leaf handle. This piece is attributed to the Fenton Art Glass Company in the Pansy pattern. Both items are produced using pressed glass techniques with an applied iridescent finish that creates a multi-colored metallic sheen. Neither piece possesses a pontil mark, as is characteristic of pressed glass. Green bowl: 7.5 inches in diameter Marigold dish: 8 inches in width Both pieces are in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
