Description
This modernist pendant is attributed to the Finnish designer Reino Olavi Saastamoinen, featuring a design consistent with his 1970s jewelry production. The piece is centered with a natural amethyst druzy cluster containing multiple purple quartz crystals of varying sizes and heights. The gemstone is set into a heavy metal frame characterized by a brutalist, molten texture and a dark oxidized finish. The reverse of the pendant shows a hollowed construction with visible iridescent and purple-toned tarnish. The piece includes an integrated sculptural bail. No maker marks or metal purity hallmarks are visible on the item.
