Description
This lot consists of two glazed earthenware figural pitchers. The first is a frog pitcher modeled as a seated frog on a green lily pad. It features mottled pale green and yellow glazes with an open mouth spout. The handle is a molded green thorny vine with a red rosebud. The base has a printed label for Henriksen Imports, Corte Madera, California, and an incised letter K. The second is a pig pitcher modeled as a seated pig with a honey-tan glaze. It is decorated with a molded red ribbon sash and green leaf accents. The handle is formed as a leafy branch and the snout serves as the spout. The underside is incised Made in Wanxiang China and has a hand-painted number 59 in black. Measurements: Frog Pitcher: Approximately 8 1/2 inches in height Pig Pitcher: Approximately 7 1/2 inches in height. Both pitchers are in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The pig pitcher exhibits minor shelf wear to the underside of the base.
