Description
An American Depression-era pressed glass sandwich tray attributed to the Fostoria Glass Company. This circular tray is rendered in a translucent light pink hue and features a prominent central handle molded in the form of a fleur-de-lis. The tray exhibits a shallow profile with a subtly scalloped rim and radial optic paneling extending from the center to the edge. While the piece bears no maker marks or signatures, the specific handle form and optic design are characteristic of Fostoria production from the 1930s, often associated with the Versailles pattern. The piece reflects the Art Deco influence prevalent in American decorative glass during the mid-20th century.
Diameter: approximately 11.5 inches.
The tray is in very good overall condition with no apparent chips, cracks, or significant surface abrasions. Very light shelf wear consistent with age is present on the base.
