Description
This vase is constructed from custard-colored satin uranium glass, which exhibits a bright green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. The vessel features a wide, ruffled and crimped rim above a bulbous, vertically paneled body that tapers to a circular footed base. The exterior is decorated with a hand-painted floral motif, identified as the Pink Blossoms pattern, featuring a daisy-style flower with pink beaded or sugared textured petals, a yellow center, and green foliage. The base bears the hand-painted initials DA, an artist signature used by the Fenton Art Glass Company. The material, form, and decoration are consistent with Fenton production.
