Description
A large five gallon capacity molded glass jar in a light blue tint, identified as a Bicentennial commemorative piece produced by Libbey Glass Company. The vessel features a cylindrical body with sloped shoulders and two integral horizontal handles. The primary decoration consists of an embossed American patriotic motif depicting a bald eagle with outspread wings, a central shield, an olive branch, and arrows, modeled after the Great Seal of the United States. Bands of embossed five-pointed stars encircle the upper shoulder and the lower base. The underside of the base exhibits molded swirling patterns and a central stylized cursive L mark and 1776. Visible mold seams are present across the base and along the sides, and the glass contains occasional small air bubbles characteristic of the molding process.
