Description

This collection consists of three pieces of clear pressed glass in the American pattern, Line 2056, produced by the Fostoria Glass Company. The set includes a circular handled serving tray, a shallow footed bowl, and an oval handled dish. Each piece is made of heavy, thick-walled soda-lime glass featuring a repeating cubist geometric pattern of multi-faceted diamonds. The circular tray is designed with two integral tab handles and a scalloped rim with a central radiating diamond design. The shallow bowl, often referred to as a lily pond bowl, rests on three molded feet and features a central sunburst motif and a toothed rim. The oval dish, or nappy, features two swept-up handles and an elongated sunburst center. No maker marks are present on the glass. Handled Tray: 8.5 inches diameter Footed Bowl: 7 inches diameter Oval Dish: 8.5 inches length. The items are in good condition with bright clarity and no signs of dishwasher clouding. Minor surface scratches are visible upon close inspection. Small nicks or flea bites are present along the sharp points of the molded diamond pattern and the toothed rims, consistent with age and handling.
