Description

This lot consists of two US Army uniform sets from the Cold War era, both featuring the insignia of the 6th Infantry Division. The first set is a US Army Green Service Uniform (Class A) produced by the Royal Uniform Co. of Baltimore, Maryland. An interior pocket label is handwritten with the name K. Sovey and the date 11-59. The officer’s coat is outfitted with silver-toned Captain rank bars on the epaulets and Field Artillery branch insignia on the collar. It features the standard black sleeve braid and gold-toned buttons with the Great Seal of the United States. The second set is a fatigue uniform comprising an OG-107 cotton sateen utility shirt and olive drab Herringbone Twill (HBT) trousers. The shirt is named to Fowler via a white tape and includes a yellow-on-black US ARMY branch tape and a 6th Infantry Division shoulder patch. The HBT trousers feature a button fly and large exterior patch pockets. HBT Trousers: Waist 36 inches, Length 33 inches. The officer’s service uniform is in good professional condition with minor marking on the coat’s lower back and white chalk-like marks on the trouser legs. The fatigue set shows heavy field use. The HBT trousers exhibit significant fading, staining, fraying at the buttonholes, and small holes on the legs. The OG-107 shirt shows moderate fading and general wear consistent with military utility use.
