Description
2247 grams. (Allowances made for stainless knife blades) A sterling silver flatware service produced by Wallace Silversmiths in the Rose Point pattern. This service features ornate openwork handles decorated with floral and scroll motifs. The collection includes dinner knives with stainless steel blades, dinner forks, salad forks, teaspoons, round bowl soup spoons, and flat handle butter spreaders. Also included is a pair of large cake or pie servers with stainless steel blades. The handles of the pieces are stamped with the Wallace stag head crest followed by WALLACE STERLING. The knife blades are marked WALLACE STAINLESS. The set is presented in brown cloth-lined storage rolls. The storage roll measures approximately 17 inches in width when laid flat.
Condition report:
The service is in good overall condition. There are no visible monograms present on any of the pieces. The silver surfaces exhibit a moderate amount of tarnish consistent with age and storage. The stainless steel blades show minor surface scratches from use. The cloth storage rolls are intact with minor wear.
