Description
This ceramic figurine depicts a stylized sitting rabbit crafted from Barro Negro, or black clay, from San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, Mexico. The piece is attributed to Alfareria Dona Rosa, the workshop of the potter credited with developing the signature metallic-like black sheen of the region. Height: 7 inches The figurine is in good vintage condition with minor surface scuffs and light scratches consistent with age. A small chip is present on the inner edges of an ear. There is a small irregularity or chip on the underside of one front paw.
