Description
This collection of American Art Deco ceramic tableware consists of two pieces from the Homer Laughlin China Company Fiesta line in the turquoise glaze. The lot includes a large round chop plate and an oblong bread tray. Both pieces are constructed of earthenware and feature the signature molded concentric ring decoration. The bread tray bears an underglaze blue stamp on the base reading GENUINE fiesta H-L-C USA. The chop plate does not have a legible text mark but displays three unglazed triangular stilt marks on the underside, which is characteristic of vintage firing processes. Chop Plate: 12 inches diameter Bread Tray: 10 inches length Both items are in good overall condition. The chop plate shows minor surface scuffing and light scratches consistent with age and typical use. The bread tray exhibits a small glaze skip or kiln-related rough spot on the underside of the rim and light interior surface wear. No chips, cracks, or repairs are present.
