Description
This hand-carved wood sculpture depicts a male musician in traditional folk-style dress, playing a pipe and a drum. The figure is characterized by a pointed beard and a peaked cap, with a large round drum or shield carried on the back. The piece is executed in a rustic manner with visible chisel marks and a natural wood patina. The sculpture is set upon an integral, textured wooden base which has three green felt pads on the bottom. Height: 9 inches The sculpture is in good condition overall. There is a crack on one horn. There are minor surface marks and wear consistent with age.
