Description
A painted figurine from the Castagna Infrangible Line depicting a seated Indigenous North American woman. The figure is shown in traditional-style fringed clothing decorated with teal and yellow geometric patterns and floral accents. She holds a small earthenware-style pot in her hands and carries an infant in a papoose on her back. The figurine is constructed from a painted resin composite material. An incised signature on the side of the base reads Castagna 1995. The underside of the base retains a black and gold circular foil label that reads MOD DEP. Infrangible Line Castagna MADE IN ITALY. Length: 11.75 inches The figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The manufacturer foil label on the base shows some wear and tearing.
