Description
A collection of Nancy Drew Mystery Stories by Carolyn Keene, published by Grosset & Dunlap. The group includes the following titles: The Hidden Staircase (copyright 1930), The Message in the Hollow Oak (copyright 1935), The Witch Tree Symbol (copyright 1955), and The Hidden Window Mystery (copyright 1956). Three volumes are bound in the publisher’s teal tweed-patterned cloth, and one volume is bound in light blue cloth. All four volumes feature the dark blue stamped silhouette of a girl with a magnifying glass on the front cover and spine. Each book contains a black-and-white frontispiece illustration. Height: 7.5 inches Width: 5.25 inches Fair to good. The books are offered without dust jackets. There is visible tanning and foxing to the text block edges and internal pages. The cloth bindings show shelf wear, including rubbing and fraying at the spine ends and corners. Staining and fading are present on the covers, most notably on the light blue volume. Spines remain intact with legible titles.
