Description
A collection of hand-carved wooden napkin rings, each featuring a different African safari animal figure including a lion, elephant, rhinoceros, giraffe, zebra, Cape buffalo, cheetah, hippopotamus, and warthog. The figures are mounted atop thick cylindrical rings, which are supported by integral, flared circular pedestals. Several pieces, specifically the zebra, giraffe, and cheetah, exhibit hand-painted decorative patterns to represent their respective coats, while the remainder are finished in a natural, polished wood tone. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the bases or bodies of the items. Heights range from approximately 3.5 to 5 inches The collection is in good vintage condition with minor surface scuffing and natural variations in the wood grain.
