Description
A Southwestern style three-stone ring produced by Running Bear Trading Center of Gallup, New Mexico. The piece is constructed of sterling silver and features a central oval cabochon of reddish-orange spiny oyster shell. This central stone is secured in a serrated bezel setting and is encircled by a twisted wire rope detail. The center is flanked by two smaller, round green cabochons, likely turquoise or variscite, each held in a serrated bezel setting. The band is designed with a split-shank where it joins the central mounting. The reverse of the setting is marked with the hallmark for Running Bear Trading Center, featuring the letters RB within a stylized bear silhouette, and a 925 sterling silver purity stamp.
