Description
A sterling silver equestrian statement necklace featuring a fixed central decorative element. The central feature is a curved panel depicting a high-relief scene of eight galloping horses. The reverse of this central piece is hollowed out to follow the contours of the figures. The necklace is composed of a fancy link chain with elongated cylindrical bar links connected by small circular rings and is secured by a lobster claw clasp. The reverse of the central horse element is marked with the word sterling in lowercase script and Sterling with an uppercase initial within a separate recessed oval. An additional small square punch mark is present but illegible. Length: 17 inches Weight: 46.8 grams. The necklace is in good condition with minor surface wear. A darkened patina is present in the recessed areas of the high-relief design, which serves to highlight the detail of the figures.
