Description
This dress clip is a product of the American firm Eisenberg and Sons. The piece features an ornate shield-shaped cluster design with scrolled accents. It is constructed from silver-tone metal with a dark patina and visible gold-tone highlights on the reverse. The clip is set with multiple faceted citrine-colored glass stones in various cuts, including round, emerald, and rectangular step cuts. Small clear round-cut rhinestones are integrated into the scrolled metal framework. The reverse is fitted with a large, hinged, openwork metal clip mechanism. The back of the clip mechanism is stamped with the mark Eisenberg ORIGINAL. Approximately 2.5 inches by 1.75 inches. The piece is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age. There is significant darkening and patina to the metal finish, with wear to the plating on the reverse. One small clear rhinestone is missing from a circular setting near the top right. The larger amber-colored glass stones are secure in their prong settings, though some minor surface abrasions are present under magnification. The clip mechanism is functional.
