Description
This Department 56 Snowhouse Series Swiss Chalet is a hand-painted glazed ceramic decorative building. The piece features a light blue gabled roof with white snow accents, dark brown log-textured walls, and green shutters adorned with red flower boxes. The exterior is decorated with green holiday garlands and red berries. The base is molded and painted to simulate a fieldstone foundation, and a small woodpile detail is present on one side. The underside is incised with the words SWISS CHALET and Dept 56. An original paper label is also present on the base, reading EXCLUSIVE 1983 SNOWHOUSE SERIES TAIWAN – R.O.C. accompanied by the Department 56 logo. The house is equipped with a white electrical power cord featuring a standard two-prong plug and an inline rotary on/off switch. Height: Approximately 6 inches. The ceramic house is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations visible. The glaze retains a high-gloss finish. The electrical cord and internal light are in working order.
