Description
A three-piece ceramic Thanksgiving-themed serving set manufactured by Fitz and Floyd as part of the Pilgrims Progress collection. The set comprises a large round platter, a lidded soup bowl, and a coordinating plate. Each piece is constructed of glazed earthenware featuring a relief-molded spiral basketweave texture. The decoration includes hand-painted autumnal motifs in high relief in shades of red, yellow, and orange. The tureen lid is designed with a figural turkey head wearing a pilgrim hat, while its feet and tail feathers form the handle. The undersides of the pieces are embossed with the mark © F F 1990. Original stickers reading Hand Painted and FF TAIWAN are present on the bases. The set includes original manufacturer boxes labeled FITZ and FLOYD, PILGRIMS PROGRESS SOUP BOWL W/SAUCER, and PILGRIMS PROGRESS PLATTER FOR TUREEN. Platter: 12.5 inches in diameter Plate: 8 inches in diameter Tureen base: 3.5 inches in height. The set is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The original manufacturer boxes are included and exhibit typical shelf wear.
