Description
This set consists of a 1986-S Silver Dollar and a 1986-S Half Dollar struck by the US Mint to commemorate the centennial of the Statue of Liberty. Both specimens were produced at the San Francisco Mint, as indicated by the S mint mark. The Silver Dollar is composed of 90 percent silver, while the Half Dollar is a copper-nickel clad coin.
Silver dollar Diameter: 1.500 inches Weight: 26.73 grams.
Half Dollar: 1.205 inches &11.34 grams (Half Dollar)
Composition: .900 fine silver (Dollar), Copper-nickel clad (Half Dollar).
Proof. Both coins exhibit heavy natural toning with vibrant coloration. No visible contact marks or hairlines are apparent through the capsules. The blue velvet case and outer box show minor shelf wear.
