Description
This collection features a variety of early 20th-century kitchen and household tools housed in a wooden shipping crate. The crate is branded for Libby, McNeill & Libby and indicates it originally contained 24 twelve-ounce tins of roast beef produced in Argentina. It features green and black stamped text, the manufacturer’s logo, and Argentinian agricultural inspection markings. Notable items include a C. Forschner’s Balance No 2 brass-faced spring scale, marked New York and Pat. July 9. 89, with a capacity of 24 pounds. Cookware consists of a cast-iron griddle marked with a number 9 and a shallow, long-handled steel skillet. Functional tools include a hand-cranked eggbeater with wooden handles, a crescent-shaped double-blade mincer with a wooden T-handle, an oval hand grater, a multi-bladed pastry cutter, and a blue-painted metal wall-mounted match holder labeled Michigan.
