Description
A hand-thrown studio stoneware jar by artist John Freimarck. This heavy-walled, globular vessel features a short, wide neck and a slightly flared rim, fitted with a thick, natural-cut cork stopper. The underside of the base features the artist’s hand-painted blue mark, consisting of a looped character positioned over a horizontal brushstroke.
Height: approximately 11 inches (including cork).
The piece is in very good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There are minor surface irregularities and kiln-related spots consistent with hand-thrown studio pottery. The unglazed foot rim shows minor shelf wear and small spots of white residue.
