Description
This is a Bolex Paillard B8 motion picture camera designed for 8mm film. Manufactured in Switzerland, the camera features a die-cast metal body finished in black pebbled leatherette with polished chrome and aluminum trim. It is equipped with a twin-lens turret system containing one Kern-Paillard Yvar 13mm f/1.9 AR lens (serial number 544275) with an aperture range of f/1.9 to f/22. The second turret port is currently capped. The camera body displays the serial number 593513, which is incised on the base and stamped inside the film chamber.
The camera is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition. The leatherette covering is well-preserved with no signs of peeling or shrinkage. The polished metal trim and control dials show minimal surface wear. The Kern-Paillard lens glass appears clear with no visible fungus, haze, or major scratches. All pieces are untested.
