Description
Produced by World Doll of Brooklyn, New York, this is the Second Portrait Doll in the Movie Greats Collection, depicting the character Rhett Butler as portrayed by Clark Gable in the film Gone With the Wind. The doll is constructed of vinyl and features a poseable ball-jointed neck. He is dressed in an authentically styled outfit consisting of a grey pinstripe suit jacket with matching trousers, a light pink vest, a white collared shirt, and a maroon polka-dot necktie featuring a pearl-style tie pin. He wears black molded footwear. Facial details include painted eyes, molded and painted dark hair, and the character’s signature mustache. The doll retains its original factory-applied clear plastic protective wrapping and includes the original hang tag (Tag# 18-540HT) and a foot positioning instruction sheet (Part # 19-72100). The original factory box (Model 72135) is present. This is a limited edition first issue with a production limit of 30,000 pieces.

The doll itself is in excellent, near-mint condition, appearing unused and still protected by the original factory-applied plastic wrap. The clothing is crisp and shows no visible signs of fading or shelf wear. The original cardboard box is in poor to fair condition, showing extensive water staining, scuffing, and structural degradation to the cardboard.
