Description
This lot consists of two die-cast toy cars from the Mattel Hot Wheels Super Chromes series, manufactured in Hong Kong. Both vehicles feature the characteristic redline wheels of the era. The first car is the Poison Pinto (1975), a modified Ford Pinto wagon with a chrome-plated finish, an exposed chrome-style engine, and blue-tinted windows. The second car is a Corvette Stingray (1975) with a chrome-plated finish and blue and yellow lightning bolt graphics on the hood and roof.
Length: approximately 3 inches each.
The Poison Pinto is in good vintage condition, exhibiting minor oxidation and light surface wear to the chrome-plated finish. The decals show minor edge chipping. The Corvette Stingray shows heavy play wear, with significant rubbing and loss to the chrome finish across the body. The graphics on the roof are partially worn away.
