Description
This collection consists of items from the Matchbox Across America 50th Birthday Series, produced by Mattel, Inc. circa 2001. The group features a 50-car carry case manufactured by Tara Toy Corp. under license from Mattel. The lot includes factory-sealed die-cast vehicles on original blister cards, each with a corresponding collectible mini state license plate. Also present are two trifold cardboard Mini License Plates Collector Board displays; one board is partially populated with mini license plates. Ephemera in the lot includes white paper Matchbox Across America Tour gift bags with twisted paper handles and a stack of approximately 20 cardboard backings from previously opened vehicles in the series.
Carry case height: approximately 10 inches.
The collection is in overall good condition. Four vehicles remain factory sealed in their original blister packs, though the cards show minor shelf wear and retail stickers. The vinyl carry case is intact with a clean interior.
