Description
A vintage (1960-1970) wall-hanging mirror featuring a tooled and hand-painted leather frame constructed in the form of a scroll. The upper portion of the leather displays a scene in the style of a Persian miniature, depicting a couple in traditional Safavid-period attire seated beneath a tree; the man holds a small cup while the woman leans toward him. Positioned below the central rectangular mirror is a hand-painted floral scroll motif with a central red blossom and smaller yellow buds. The leather panel is secured to two turned wooden scroll ends and includes a leather hanging thong. The reverse of the piece is finished with a black fabric backing.

The item is in good vintage condition. The leather shows signs of age-related wear including minor scuffing, surface darkening, and light creasing. The painted imagery remains largely intact with some slight fading and minor surface loss consistent with age. The mirror glass appears clear and well-seated. The wooden scroll ends show minor nicks and surface wear.
