Description
This illuminated porcelain building is titled The Bailey Bros. Building & Loan of Bedford Falls, produced by DHC in 1996 as part of the A Wonderful Holiday Collection. The piece is designed as a tribute to the film It’s a Wonderful Life. The hand-painted porcelain structure depicts a two-story brick corner building featuring green-trimmed windows and a festive holiday garland. One side of the building contains the Bailey Bros. Building & Loan Association entrance, while the corner and adjacent side house Anderson’s Mercantile. The lower shop windows display miniature scenes, including a Christmas tree and several figures. The roof is modeled with a textured shingle pattern and simulated snow accumulation. The underside of the base is incised with the text A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY COLLECTION followed by a trademark symbol and copyright 1996 DHC. A small gold foil label is present reading MADE IN PHILIPPINES. The item includes an internal light fixture with an attached power cord and is accompanied by the original decorative retail box.
Measures: 7.5 x 4.5 x 5.5 inches tall
The porcelain building is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. The electrical components are functional and the piece illuminates as intended. The original box is included and shows minor shelf wear.
