Description
A pocket-sized Masonic ritual manual titled The New Revised Ecce Orienti, Michigan Edition, dated 1954. Published by the Masonic Supply Co. of New York, the volume carries a 1953 copyright by A. Nizzardini. The contents include the rituals and ceremonies for the Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason degrees, written in a standard Masonic ritual cipher or abbreviated shorthand. The book is bound in plain publisher’s black cloth with no exterior titles or gilt. A flyleaf bears a handwritten ownership inscription: ROGER E SMITH / 505 DARTMOUTH / DURAND, MICH.
Dimensions: 5 1/8 inches by 3 3/8 inches.
The black cloth binding shows moderate shelf wear, including rubbing to the boards and visible fraying at the corners and the head and tail of the spine. Internal pages are uniformly age-toned. There is minor separation appearing at the inner gutters between signatures, though the binding remains intact and the text block is secure.
