Description
This is a framed lithographic poster after a drawing by Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989), titled Owl Poster. A large printed facsimile signature Dali is present in tan-colored ink at the bottom center. Affixed to the verso is a partial Certificate of Authenticity from Patrician Galleries, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois, which identifies the title, artist, and media.
Outer frame dimensions: 33 x 27 inches.
The wooden frame exhibits significant wear including numerous chips, scuffs, and paint losses to both the black and gold surfaces. Notable moisture staining and tidelines are visible along the lower portion of the cream matting. The poster itself appears to be in stable condition, though it has not been examined outside of the frame.
