Description
Ted DeGrazia (American, 1909-1982) watercolor and gouache on paper titled The Lord’s Candle. The work is double-signed; the lower left corner is inscribed DeGrazia / 1976 and the lower right corner is signed DeGrazia. The verso of the frame includes a period newspaper clipping from the January 27, 1976, edition of The Star concerning the artist’s protest against federal tax laws, as well as a modern Michaels framing label.
Frame: 25 x 21 inches
Sight: 15.5 x 9.5 inches.
The paper shows light toning and minor mat burn along the perimeter of the mat opening. The frame and mats are in good overall condition with minor signs of handling and surface wear.
