This pair of color prints features stylized domestic scenes of children in a mid-20th-century American illustration aesthetic. The works are signed in the plate; the gardening scene is signed B. USHER in the lower right, and the birdhouse scene is signed W. B. USHER in the lower right. These signatures are associated with illustrator Robert Usher, known for his work in Household Magazine during the 1930s.
