Description
This hand painted porcelain figurine is a stylized representation of a bird, exhibiting contemporary Southwestern Pueblo style polychrome decoration. The piece is characterized by an elongated body and a curved neck. The underside is marked with a black oval reserve containing the hand written signature Hope Bird, the date 1986, and the notation G I. A silver foil label on the base reads Desert Pueblo, HAND PAINTED, PORCELAIN, Phoenix, Arizona.
