Description
This is a relief-carved and hand-painted earthenware vase by Nicaraguan ceramic artist Roger Calero, known for folk art from San Juan de Oriente. The vase features a tapered ovoid body with a flared rim and base. The exterior is decorated with raised, smooth motifs set against a deeply textured and pitted background. The underside is hand-signed Roger Calero.
Height: 5.5 inches.
The vase is in excellent overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The textured surface is an intentional design element. Minor surface scuffs are present on the underside of the base, consistent with shelf wear.
