Description
This antique mechanical kitchen scale is manufactured by the American Family Scale company. A partially preserved decal on the side of the housing depicts a globe and includes the text SCALES MADE IN U.S.A., FOR THE WORLDS PEOPLE, CHICAGO, ILL.
Height: 8.5 inches.
The scale is in aged, rustic condition. There is significant and widespread paint loss, chipping, and surface oxidation across the platform, housing, and base. The dial face shows moderate yellowing and surface grime consistent with age. Mechanical components appear to be intact, though accuracy and full functionality are not guaranteed.
