Description
This ceramic vessel is a contemporary blackware stirrup-spout jar crafted in the style of ancient North Coast Peruvian cultures, such as the Moche or Chimu. The piece is formed from dark clay and finished using a traditional reduction firing technique to achieve its carbon-saturated black surface. The base of the vessel features the hand-incised marks REPLICA and PERU followed by a short dash.

The vessel is in good overall condition and is structurally sound. The surface shows minor scuffs and light scratches consistent with age and handling. There is a whitish residue settled in the recessed areas of the carving, likely an intentional application designed to simulate a burial patina.
