Description
This collection consists of three decorative items featuring dolphin imagery. The group includes a square ceramic tile titled Children of the Earth featuring artwork by Schim Schimmel and produced by A.R.T. Co. of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Also included is a framed wood marquetry picture produced by Hudson River Inlay depicting two leaping dolphins. The piece is signed Nelson in the lower right. A label on the reverse specifies the use of various woods including madrone, limba, maple, walnut, pecan, ebony, and mahogany. The third item is a fine porcelain collector plate from the Franklin Mint Heirloom Collection titled Legend of the Dolphin, numbered LA 4005.

Porcelain Plate: 8 inches diameter.
The items are in good overall condition. The ceramic tile has significant white adhesive residue on the reverse side. The wood marquetry and porcelain plate show no visible chips, cracks, or structural damage. Minor shelf wear is present on the foot of the plate and the accompanying commercial box.
