Description
A large porcelain dinner service manufactured by Epiag in Czechoslovakia, specifically at the Stara Role (Altrohlau) factory. The set features pattern number 7213, decorated with trailing branches of orange and yellow poppy blossoms and green foliage. The forms include footed teacups and an octagonal footed gravy boat with an attached underplate. The underside of the pieces bears the green Epiag factory mark with crossed armored arms holding swords, along with the pattern number 7213 and various hand-stamped numbers in orange and purple. The collection includes approximately 65 pieces.
Dinner Plates: 9.75 inches diameter
Luncheon Plates: 8 inches diameter
Bread and Butter Plates: 6 inches diameter
Saucers: 5.5 inches diameter
Fruit Bowls: 5 inches diameter
Teacups: 3.75 inches rim diameter
Gravy Boat: 7 inches length.
The service is in very good vintage condition. There is minor, age-appropriate rubbing to the gold-gilt highlights on some rims and handles. No chips, cracks, or professional repairs are visible. One bouillon bowl contains a small amount of yellow adhesive residue on the interior.
