Description
A pair of circular decorative porcelain display plates manufactured by L’Etoile in Limoges, France.
The first plate, titled Clochette en ete, depicts a pastoral Rococo-style garden scene. It shows a woman in the foreground carrying baskets of flowers, with a couple reclining in the background near a stone lion fountain and lush greenery.
The second plate belongs to the Alexandra collection within the Allure de Limoges series. It features a dense still-life arrangement of multi-colored roses, including pink, yellow, white, and deep red varieties, displayed within a wicker basket.
Diameter: 10 inches.
Both plates appear to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, crazing, or signs of restoration. The gilded borders remain bright and show no significant rubbing or loss. The pictorial transfers are clear and well-preserved. The included storage box shows minor shelf wear.
