Description
This collection consists of ten contemporary collector dolls, including two identified as part of The Connoisseur Doll Collection by Seymour Mann. The dolls are constructed with bisque porcelain heads, forearms, hands, and lower legs attached to soft stuffed cloth bodies. Each doll features fixed inset eyes with applied lashes and synthetic fiber wigs in various colors and styles. The assortment includes a variety of themed costumes such as a doll in a green checkered dress with a lace collar and a small wicker basket, a doll in a blue jumper with a poodle and heart applique, a Victorian-styled doll in a pink velvet and cream lace dress with a matching feathered hat, a doll in a red corduroy jacket and trousers with dark lace-up boots, and a doll in a blue and white dress with a matching headband and a Sugar and Spice manufacturer hangtag. Multiple dolls bear stamps on the reverse of the neck reading THE CONNOISSEUR DOLL COLLECTION, Seymour MANN, and © Seymour Mann, Inc. MCMXCVI. One doll is presented in its original red window box marked Classic.
Height: 14 inches to 16 inches.
The dolls are in good vintage condition consistent with display. No visible cracks or chips were noted on the porcelain components. A retail price sticker is adhered directly to the fabric dress of one doll. The original red display box exhibits significant wear, including tearing and scuffing.
